Katja Zarolinski, CSA is a New York based casting director working across theatre, film, and television.

As the founder of KZ Casting, Katja offers a bespoke, artist-centered approach—partnering closely with producers, directors, and creative teams to build casts that are imaginative, specific, and deeply connected to the story being told.

With over a decade of experience, Katja has cast Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional productions at some of the country’s most respected institutions. Her work spans contemporary new plays and world premieres as well as classical theatre and musical theatre, supporting both the development of new voices and fresh interpretations of established work.

Katja is known for her collaborative process and personal touch—taking the time to truly understand a project’s vision while championing bold, inclusive casting choices. Her background in acting, music, and dance informs a holistic approach to casting that values both craft and chemistry, whether working on a new play, a classical revival, or a screen project.
